STRīV is designed for young adults, 18-28+, who are interested in college or vocational training, but have gone through challenging times and are struggling to manage on their own. A typical STRiV student doesn’t want to feel like they’re in a “treatment program” but will benefit from purposeful coaching coupled with therapeutic & social support. These include – but are not limited to – students who…
• are completing a therapeutic wilderness program
• are transitioning from residential treatment
• have unsuccessfully tried college on their own
• need therapeutic, emotional, and/or social support as they grow toward independence
• need to better understand their strengths and struggles, and gain a clear sense of how to move forward independently
We help students who want to move forward, but are dealing with executive skills deficits, emotion or behavior dysregulation, attachment issues, mild Autism Spectrum Disorder, social challenges, gender identity concerns, over-dependence on electronics, anxiety/depression, and the like.
