Is STRiV Right for Your Young Adult?

Feeling Stuck After High School or College
Anxiety, Depression, or Low Self-Esteem
Lack of Motivation or Difficulty Following Through
Struggling With Independence
Social Isolation
These are all common issues emerging adults face that can hold them back from achieving independence. However, these struggles do not define a young adult’s future. Any young adult can improve their lives if they are willing to accept professional help and put in the personal work required to achieve their goals.

Why Young Adults Lose Direction
Although these issues can feel overwhelming, treatment is possible with proper guidance and professional assistance. Some reasons why your emerging adult may lose direction can include the following:
Executive Functioning Challenges
Anxiety & Depression
ADHD & Autism Spectrum
Low Confidence & Fear of Failure
Life Transitions
Trauma & Emotional Regulation
A Personalized Path Toward Independence
Collaborative goal setting assists students in creating goals they can achieve as we offer the support needed to get them from Point A to Point B. Students, as a result, become more confident, self-aware, and proud of their hard work. Once our students can look to the future with hope, we know they are ready for independence.

Yes, STRiV Forward’s therapeutic transitional living program is designed to encourage students to prepare for a future career and seek employment through our vocational programs. Students may go to work while receiving therapeutic support.
Our therapeutic support model is designed to address a wide range of mild to moderate mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression. Students with these conditions are provided with personalized mental health support, which can include therapy, coaching, and access to outside professional mental health providers.
Families and parents are included in our program through collaboration in goal setting and planning. Updates are frequent, and family therapy is offered as needed. We also help encourage healthy separation, which teaches families how to support their loved one while allowing them to become independent.
Semi-independent living refers to a residential setting where individuals live while receiving support to develop skills for autonomy. This encourages independence while providing access to support as needed. STRiV Forward utilizes a semi-independent living model, giving students real-world practice while offering the security of professional support.
Mentors support students by providing encouragement and guidance while serving as a positive and approachable role model. They help students navigate academic and personal challenges, which assists them in naturally building resilience and emotional development.
